Join food historian Sarah Wassberg Johnson for this special combined cooking demonstration and talk. Sarah will demonstrate the roasting of a sugar pie pumpkin and its transformation into real pumpkin pie, as well as a historical overview of the pumpkin, including its Indigenous origins and use in Colonial America, as well as its transformation into a modern autumn staple.
