Virginia Wheeler Martin Family History and Learning Center

Opening in November 2019, the Virginia Wheeler Martin Family History and Learning Center will be located on the second floor of Medina Library. Funded through a generation donation by Medina-native Virginia Wheeler Martin (1928-2016), the center was created to help individuals research family and local history, preserve memories, and promote creativity.  Learn more about the center’s resources for family and local history below.

Digital Lab

Preserve family heirlooms for future generations.  Bring in your photographs, slides, cassette tapes, home movies, and other media and convert them to digital. 

Frazier-Wheeler Collection

This archival collection documents the ancestors of Virginia Wheeler Martin.  Surnames covered include Baker, Bennett, Brandt, Crawford, Curtiss, England, Frazier, Moore, Pentz, Richardson, Wheeler and others.  Geographic coverage includes Medina, Seville, and various other locations.  The collection includes research notes, vital records, photographs and more.
